Hi, I m looking for a youth orchestra for my DD she is 14 and grade 8 cello.
We live in Reading Berkshire and wouldn't mind to travel up to 1 hr if during the weekend. Any suggestions?

Would you consider junior conservatoires in London? Although a bit late for this year. Or Centre for Young Musicians, also London? Also Berkshire and Oxfordshire youth orchestras.

Look at Chiltern music academy, High Wycombe. If it's not too far for you, it's excellent , with lots going on. But it may be a Friday evening for the orchestra you want.

Just to add, you do not have to have lessons there to join the orchestras.
I see there is a trip abroad for that orchestra next summer, nice.

Google says that there is a youth orchestra in reading on Friday nights- have you looked at that? Saturday options in london likely to need auditioning for so would need to check timescales. Know that CYM have some ensemble only options for more advanced players so could look at that too

Also, lots of options in Berkshire if you want orchestra / ensemble only
