Hello, I’m looking for help!
Is there anyone out there with a child currently at YMS?
I wondered how life is going there at the moment. There seems to be a huge amount of staff recruitment happening and it’d be great to know if this is significant or just the usual London turnover.
How have the newish head of Music and head changed things either for the better or not?
We have met quite a few children who advise against boarding but we would love to know from the inside how it is to weekly board there.. the pros and cons.
And how many hours of practice are there scheduled for an 11 year old child?
is this supervised or not. Any information would be very gratefully received - positive or negative.

I think it's such a small school you won't get people willing to comment as would be too identifiable. Good luck with whatever you decide. The school is near where my grandparents lived, it's a beautiful setting, that's all I know!

Ah you’re probably right! I think there is a large number of children whose parents love abroad too who might not be looking at Mumsnet!
