What do you do about periods? Do they just miss swimming?

Dd is a bit young to cope with tampons yet….have bought some swim pants from Modibodi but worried if they’ll be enough without any other SanPro?

Grateful for tips from seasoned pros…

Period pants seem to work fine here

I don't know about everyone else, but I find my flow somehow stops temporaily when I'm swimming - something to do with the water pressure maybe? Unless she has very heavy flow, I'd have thought period swimming pants would be fine.

Try a knee suit from maru it's longer and then she can wear period pants underneath and might give her more confidence, with all the rest of the bodily fluids floating around the pool I wouldn't be too worried.

There might be people attracted to this thread interested in details about 9 year old girls in swimsuits having periods.

Right I’ll ask for it to be removed. Thanks

dameofdilemma · 05/03/2022 11:55

Thanks all for the replies. We have the modibodi swim pants and a swim costume that has shorts so sounds like should be ok hopefully.

I think dd is just worried, she’s young to be having to deal with this. We might just give swimming a miss for now.

Circle - crikey really?! It’s a shame to remove the thread but I guess if that’s best.

It's a normal question, just sometimes they are started by trolls, sometimes trolls come looking. Some posters reply and share too much information about their children seemingly forgetting that this is not a private conversation around friends but a worldwide platform.

CircleofWillis · 05/03/2022 17:32

I don't think MrsRobinson is suggesting it be removed. Just a gentle reminder not to share any unnecessary details.

Hellocatshome · 05/03/2022 17:38

Yes a leg suit and period swim pants are the way to go.
