I have a 16 yr old DD who has just started a football scholarship with a sixth form school. She has gone from 1/2 training sessions a week and 1 game to an extra 3 (1hr 40min) training and an extra game. She has to travel to this school 45 minutes each way and is finding the step up tiring.
Can anyone advise what they would suggest to help, protein shakes, bars etc, should this be encouraged at 16 or should she be getting it all from real food?
Any help much appreciated, as I haven’t the foggiest xx
