Extra-curricular activities during school holidays

Both of my kids have been going to Spanish lessons for a couple of years now on a Saturday morning. They both enjoy it and we continued with it via Zoom during lockdown. These lessons cost approx £30 total a week and have only ever been term time. I’ve just had an email advising that the club will now be running all through the summer holidays as well (cost to me = £180).
We are always busy during the summer holidays and often the kids will stay at grandparents for a week or so as me and OH both still have to work full time and the school holidays are the only chance the kids get to see them.
I’ve advised that out of the six weeks my children will likely miss four of them and asked if it’s compulsory and been told that they will miss lots of the content if they don’t attend.
Am I being out of order at being a bit p*** off at this? The school holidays are the only time we get to go on holiday / see family and now I feel pressured to pay for something they can’t attend.

I don't think YABU at all. Every class my DC have ever attended has been term-time and if sessions took place in the summer holidays these were optional, fun sessions.

I suspect that most kids will miss a couple of the summer sessions, so the teacher may end up having to reduce the content and do lots of recapping to cope with that, so yours may miss less than she's trying to suggest. I'm guessing that the teacher has lost income over covid and is hoping to recoup a bit by continuing through the summer, but there's a reason why most things usually stop.
