Singing grades - "Overall Performance" marks in Trinity (or similar for ABRSM)

Just being nosey but interested as to what students are receiving percentage wise for the Overall Performance (OP) mark for digital assessments (20% of overall mark).

Are the OP marks coming back as particularly high compared to the marks being received for individual pieces or about the same or even lower? While I think I understand what the OP is assessing (reviewed the relevant web page and video anyway) much of what is being looked at in OP is already incorporated in the mark scheme for the individual pieces (e.g. communication and interpretation, fluency etc) and so I wanted to know how similar marks were coming back between individual pieces and OP. I know smoothness of transitions between pieces is being assessed which is new but I am trying to work out if this is double marking or really something different. Thank you for any help.

My DD has just done grade 8 singing performance ABRSM and the OP was much in line with the individual pieces - a mixture of 26 and 2 with 2 for OP. The comments mainly focused on the sound of her voice - she is an ex Cathedral chorister and it was clear the examiner would have preferred a budding opera singer. However, they did comment on her transitions between pieces being very calm and the good relationship with her accompanist.

should be 26 and 27 with 27 for OP

We,ve had singing grade 6. 25,25,28,27 for the pieces and 26 for performance as a whole. Also singing grade 1. 27,26,27,24 for the pieces and 26 for the performance. Both ABRSM

Mentioned in the write ups for performance were confidence, pacing, staging, characterisation, stylistic realisation, communication and overall commitment.

Thank you that is very helpful and good to note that OP marks are not wildly different from individual piece marks.

My son who is taking grade 7 is singing against 4 recordings and a recorded vaccai (we had to get a third party accompanist to do this). I had not considered until reading these comments that OP will probably be better with a "live" accompanist rather than recorded music. Truthfully to others agree this would be much better? Thank you.
