Anyone with DC in specialist music school + JD?

I hear now and then about students at specialist music schools during the week also attend JDs on Saturdays, does anyone here with DC doing this? How would it work with “no external teaching” allowed?
Also, has anyone swapped one for another?

I know someone who left Purcell and did Junior RCM. You really can't have two teachers.

There was a poster who had a DC at specialist school, but attended ensembles at a JD at the weekend.

I always marvel at the expense of this too. Also, at DD's school, you have ensembles all Saturday sometimes. The teachers might occasionally be the same person? And in another thought - isn't it unfair to take two of these equivalent places, given that the opportunities for either aren't unlimited, regardless of whether you pay or not?

dd wasn't at music school but was at ballet school and you couldn't do vocational school and Associates as for one thing there was Saturday morning school.

I have friends with children at specialist music schools and they too have timetabled Saturday morning lessons.

The JD at Guildhall has pupils from Purcell but I think that the teacher is the same and they have their lessons at Purcell and do ensembles etc at JG.

Yes, there are Purcell pupils at CYM on Saturdays too - I guess they started there and then continued to do both when they went to purcell. I am in awe of children who have the desire to do so much music - can't imagine mine every being that keen - but guess it's also a good sign that they must be really happy with their saturday classes to keep both up.
