ABRSM practical exams - summer dates - do you think these will go ahead?

Dd, like many others, is preparing for a piano exam. Just wondering if they will go ahead. I really hope they do - if not, then I think we will have to forget about this grade and move to the next.

What do others think?

I think I'm right in saying that all ABRSM exams are cancelled until at least July 1; it's not obvious on the website (or at least it wasn't) - I think it was in a letter from the Director or something. I've since heard a rumour of online/virtual exams, but it was just a rumour...

I'm pretty sure I read that too about the summer exams being cancelled until July 1st.

If schools reopen in this term, I expect that the exam will happen on July but I guess people who's exam were cancelled on March may have priority to book.

ABRSM website has an update, saying they are looking at virtual assessments. But also that their immediate priority is students moving onto further/higher education.

My 2 DC were due to sit their exams in march, not sure they will be up to scratch in July with no lesson or zoom lessons ..

DS2 certainly won't be on the instrument for the cancelled exam. It was organ, he can't even access the churches to practice!

Now ABRSM page updates and said Private Visit will be starting from early July.
DD has started practicing fourth piece for the remote assessment for grade 8, so it's very confusing.
I just wonder if DD take remote assessment and normal practical assessment for the same instrument, will UCAS give her credit for both exams? DD is ok for supporting test so would be the idea to take both exams while her pieces are ready. I need to ask her school if they will go ahead for the exam though. DD is still young so no need to rush to take exams though.

Well it has been a bit random tbh - my child took two exams. 1 was back within a week, the other they lost the recording and we are still waiting a month later

Results are MUCH quicker than they used to. DS2 took an ABRSM exam on Monday and the results came in this morning.
