I guess they don't really know?

I imagine it depends on so many factors, and it's a constantly moving situation. I've seen some encouraging signs from some youth music groups and nothing at all from others. Flexibility may be key at the moment, and whether they can plan things which could get cancelled at the last minute, without incurring costs. I wonder how many staff they have working at the moment, and what their overall financial position is (probably pretty dire). I saw that a newsletter has just come out but it doesn't say anything about future plans. Last year would have been my son's first year (regionals and U13 orch) and he managed just one (very wonderful) regional rehearsal before everything fell away. He was very bitterly disappointed but seems to have forgotten about it and has actually lost enthusiasm for his instrument. Such depressing times - some music would cheer us all up!
