music teachers - advice please….

How to deal / cope with a smelly pupil??
I teach a teenage boy 1:1, and basically he stinks. I have the windows open and a cup of coffee on the go, but I can barely stand near him it's so bad.

What can I do? Should I have a word with the school music teacher?

Yes, and they need to pass it on to their pastoral team.

I had a lad, dear of him, who smelt of poo. Lovely lad really just had the most hideous poop smell about him. The peri who taught him had a word with me (I was acting Head of Music) and so I passed it on to Pastoral.

It was a well being concern so pastoral were happy to speak to the parents.
