Recommendations for cheap ice skates for me and daughter?

6 year old wants to go ice skating more regularly. Just bog standard, skate in a circle round the ice for an hour on a Saturday stuff.
The hire skates are, as expected, crippling.
I know no ice skates are going to be comfortable but anything has got to be better than those.
I looked in the shop at the rink and they only seemed to stock £60+ skates. No second hand stuff.
So what would people recommend for her and me? The cheaper the better. Second hand is fine but I don't even know where to start.
Thanks.

Sports direct. Or if your rink runs skating classes etc they might have a notice board where parents sell on their kids grown out of skates. Our rink does skating and ice hockey classes a d they do this.

Check out notice boards for any clubs that run at the rink

Or eBay. Just be wary of accidentally buying too advanced skates. Beginners will really struggle in the sort of boots that competitive skaters use, even second hand ones (competition skaters need much stiffer boots to support them in jumps)
