Football for dummies - what shin pads for a 6yo?

I've never played football, but dd is getting really into it, and has been told by her coach that she needs some shin pads in order to be allowed to play in matches. She's on the small side of average for a 6yo girl, we've had to size down in terms of kit (possibly because it's all designed for boys, who are on average bigger).

Can anyone recommend a type of shin pad that will work for what she needs? I want something light, easy for her to take on and of herself, and that will stay on and not get fiddled with. I'd also like it to be cheap - but the cheapest ones I could see in Sports Direct only had one strap, which I thought might be a problem?

Stick with Sports Direct and try them on for length. One strap isn't a problem as the long sock pretty much keeps the shin pad in place anyway.

I second going for the cheaper Sondico in Sports Direct with one strap. They are fine for the purpose and the ones that have fabric around the ankle are just a nightmare and too bulky

There will be a selection to look at and try in Sports Direct if you go into a store.

It's going to be tricky to get her to Sports Direct (her entire class seems to be having birthday parties at the moment, which takes up large chunks of the weekend) so I might get the smallest Sondico ones, as recommended, and keep the receipt. She can try them on at home.

Thanks for all the advice - I feel there's a steep learning curve coming up. The only reason I didn't dither on football boots was because there was only one pair small enough, so no options...
