There is so much wisdom here, I hope someone can help....
Dd asked me to enroll her to a chess club. We had quite negative experience with our local club - dd had to wait for ages when some other player or coach was available, there was no proper tuition and basically the message was - if I want my child to play chess I had to start playing myself as soon as possible.
Is it normal? May be I had too high expectations?
There are few relatively big towns around the place we live, each has its own chess club. I am planning to look at those. Are there any recommendations how to choose the good one? Are there any questions to ask or ratings to look at?
