Hi are there any dance teachers/dance mum's out there who know what age children have to be to take IDTA bronze modern jazz theatre medals, can't seem to find the info anywhere.........

for IDTA modern jazz it's a minimum of 10 years for bronze, but for other genres such as ballet, tap etc it's 8 years for bronze. Entry is at the discretion of the teacher though - just because a child is old enough doesn't mean they are ready to take an exam, so if you are enquiring as a parent (as opposed to a teacher) please be guided by your child's teacher

Thanks all, I was a bit confused as she is taking ballet medal but not modern but couldn't find info on age limits, she's 9.

Yes, that's right, 10 years for bronze.

Prior to that, juvenile is from 6 years and preliminary is from 8 years.
