Does anyone's children have any experience of the Guildhall for Saturday music school?
Ds is 10 soon and plays violin. He is about grade 4 standard currently but just starting to play grade 5 pieces. He plays in 2 county orchestras and attends our local county music school. We've been told he has perfect pitch and is very talented. He is very happy with what he's doing at the mo but we've been advised to think about one of the junior music schools as he wants to go to Purcell at 16 and then onto Royal College of music. He also has Aspergers so needs a nurturing environment. We're in Essex so Guildhall would be good for us from a commuting point of view.
I would be interested to hear others experiences.
Thanks

One of my DSs got a place but went to Academy because of easier transport. I would go and see a session and see what he thinks. Excellent way to spend a Saturday. And he's 9 ... He might want to be an astronaut next year so don't plan too far ahead!
