DH is learning to play recorder . He's a decent grade 5 now with oodles of musical experience so sounds better.
DS home from uni.

When the kids were small we used to yell things like " f sharp! " or " don't clip the phrases" as thry practiced.

DS is sorting washing and DH practicing. We've just had " don't Rush the cross fingerings " and " watch your thumb!"

Also name changed, but because as my nn suggests everything in my life is changing.

I can't remember your ds age, he isn't home for good yet is he?

DH has decided that when he's done G8 piano he's going to start with an instrument that he's never played before and we were talking through the possibilities (no dear, there is no chance at all of putting a drum kit in the garage). I suggested recorder but it turns out that once upon a time he got as far as grade 4 so that rules it out.

How did your husband take it when the roles were reversed?

I am starting playing again soon. Just waiting until dd goes to school and then dh is buying me an alto.
I used to play but stopped a few years ago, now there is time for me to practice
