Does anyone have any recommendations? I have found a few schools locally but would love to hear any personal recommendations. Thanks

Not local to you so can't personally recommend, but I would advise you research what's on offer at each school. Things to consider are:

disciplines studied: some schools only do ballet, some offer a wide selection of classes including modern , tap, acro, Greek, ballroom etc. what are you looking for?

exam boards: do they enter children for exams regularly, what kind of results do they get? Which examining boards do they enter with. I'd advise rad/istd/idta but that's just because those are the boards I am familiar with.

festivals: do they enter them? Is this something your interested in in the future for your dd?

shows: do they do shows/ are there plenty of performance oppurtunities if that's what you want for your dd?

Depending on whereabouts exactly you are, the Goldsmiths Dance Academy would be worth looking at. It's based in Downham, is RAD accredited and is proper but not precious. Look on the Goldsmiths Community Centre website for contact details.
