Lifeguard type qualifications for a teenager

DD is 13 almost 14, and wondering about getting some kind of junior lifeguard qualification. There don't seem to be many courses locally.

I thought the RLSS Survive & Save programme might be great for her,or Asst. Lifesaving Instructor, but the nearest venues offering any course are 2 hours drive away.

She's too old for RLSS Rookies. Is there any other type of certified training or programme that I could try to find?

Are you sure she's too old for Rookie Lifeguard? Ds was offered that in y8 but for NLQ you need to 16 iirc.

And ask at your local independent school pools. They often run them to add to their own pool of lifeguards but will also take external candidates.
