Do you have an unreasonable amount of stuff?

I was just taking stock of what my DD has for dance and is as follows

leotards
tights
leggings
school t shirt
school fleece
leg warmers
ballet shoes
pointe shoes
jazz shoes
tap shoes
character shoes
ouch pouches
lambswool
lighter/ matches
cotton wool
sewing kit
surgical spirits
spare ribbons/ elastic
gel knee pads
hair bands
hair grips
bun nets
hairspray
hair gel
make-up
water bottle
toe pads
resin

I daren't count up how much it cost.

We have to take pedestal stands with us all the time (for those acro classes). Portable barre very rarely. Only my eldest daughter carries a resistance band regularly to classes.

I also have four children who all dance... why did I start this hobby? Dance has gradually taken over our lives!

I often think that too - especially getting up at 5am on a saturday to drive halfway across the country.

most things mentioned sound (too) familiar, but not sure about ouch pouch???will have to ask dd about that one...

dancestomyowntune · 01/10/2014 07:07

Ouch pouches are toe pads that are gel filled and go in pointe shoes.

numerous pairs of black leggings in various states of disrepair
ditto black lycra or velvet shorts
dance school t shirt and onesie
crop tops in excelsis
jazz shoes (only worn for three comps a year for rock n roll and therefore often grown out of and realisation of such comes the night before a comp)
bun nets, wigs x4
hairspray, gel spray
more clips and blonde hairbands than anyone ever needs ever
capezio foot undies for comps where feet are suffering (our association deems children must dance in bare feet)
magicool spray
black and white snazaroo facepaint, brushes, foundation, vile neon pink blusher, equally vile lipstick and mascara
postcards and black markers for making extra numbers at comps
SO.MANY.SAFETY.PINS
solos costume and headpiece
pairs costume and headpiece
slow costume and headpiece
slow pairs costume and headpiece
team costume and stupidly large headpiece that doesn't fit anywhere
in case something happens spare costume

(we do disco freestyle ADFP)
