Kids swim goggles that stay put, but don't have to be ridiculously tight - age 7

DD 7 is a fairly good (beginner) swimmer (happy doing multi lengths in strokes), with a fairly small head (and big feet). She is learning dive starts/tumble turns etc. in her group lessons.

I think we now have lost a couple of pairs of Zoggs over the past few years (they are okay, but seemed to cut in to her face if they were to stay on) and are finding the old pair of kiddy googles I found at the back of the cupboard seem fine for doing lengths, but slip when she dives. To date , I have normally just added a pair onto the supermarket order.

DD loves diving , so I am hoping you swim-pros can save me a fair bit of review-reading by suggesting some brands/styles for younger swimmers. No, I don't have an future Olympian, but I don't mind spending an extra pound or 2 on a better brand.

You need aqua sphere seals. Expensive but the best we have tried (we have tried many). They are almost more like a mask than goggles so good for small faces.

My DC wear the ones that are slightly bigger, look more like snorkel masks, as they find them more comfortable. DD doesn't dive or tumble turn yet so I don't know about staying power. I think hers are Zoggs.

My dd's swimming teacher recommends aqua sphere too.

Thanks all. Maybe I should have researched further than Ocado and Sports Direct shop. We're going to give the Aqua Sphere seal ones a try. I am tempted to order some myself!

Definitely Aquasphere Seals. DD also 7 is pretty much the only child at her swim club lesson that doesn't fiddle with her goggles once throughout the whole lesson. Also diving and tumble turns. They are best investment for sure!

Yes, a happy child this afternoon. No fussing (but no diving today), so easy to adjust. Thank-you everybody.

How do you stop them leaking?

We got some, because DD's old goggles were giving her a black eye they were so tight. But in her lesson today they kept filling with water and in the end we swapped back to the old ones. Another little boy seemed to be having the same problem with his.

Barbeasty, that's annoying (and quite expensive).

DD put hers on by putting the googles over her eyes first, then straps over her head...then we tightened. She was killing time at the deep end (didn't have to swim as many lengths as the older kids) and they were doing a lot of underwater push-offs, so I am fairly confident we would have heard about it if they'd been leaking.

Maybe it is something to do with face shape. She has quite a small head/face and high cheekbones.
