We were thinking about it (DW is a dance teacher) but it didn't work out for this weekend unfortunately. Some of DW's former pupils are going I think.

We couldn't find much on Google about it tbh

Have you been before?

We found out about it from one of DW's friends who teaches, a few of them are going for the first time. We've never been, DW thought it looked like it could go one of two ways and DD had a comp today so we decided against it. Have you been?

KatyMac · 26/04/2014 17:47

No - Dd is in a new group that qualified but we really know nothing about it

They are part if Youth Dance England. As well as the competitio/festival they provide CPD & outreach activities as well as supporting various other organisations/theatre
& dance companies education departments

I've been involved in othe non competitive events.

Ah OK, good luck to her :) Dw and DD's teachers know a couple of teachers taking groups for the first time. I think U Dance are doing some sort of workshop over the summer but DD would probably be too young.

KatyMac · 26/04/2014 19:32

I hope it's worth all the hassle

I agree to DD doing this stuff but really I should do research first

If nothing else it'll be nice to see her perform :)

We really should too to be honest, DW sorts the dance stuff and we seem to just go along with the rest. And sign our lives away in the process!

I know but I had to go down last night too for the final rehearsal & the 1st anniversary party (DD had a wobble)

So 2 trips to London over 3 days - I'm knackered!

Signing your lives & your wallets away

Well the children all danced beautifully obviously dds group was the best Wink & were all very good.

Contemporary isn't really my thing but there were some lovely dancers and a great Street group. The youngest group was amazing as were the community groups.

A good night was had by all
