Has anyone ever been to a Proms Plus Family Orchestra

These look very exciting, my daughter has only been learning violin since September but I thought it might be a good experience for her.

Does anyone have any experience of attending one of these? Would it be ok for an 8 year old?

Not been but I don't see why it wouldn't be appropriate. The Blue Peter Prom was always good...

FWIW, a 7yo I teach - also since September - actually sat through the Sibelius Violin Concerto last month and possibly through Schostakovic's fifth symphony (it was a late concert so they might have snuck off), so anything more interactive ought to be fine!

Yep. The concert ws great, the family orchestra was rubbish. Sorry.
