How long does it usually take to get results of music exams?

DD took her grade 2 in mid-December. I can't remember how long we waited for results after her Grade 1. Is it likely to take more than a month to come through?

Is it ABRSM? Then the results take 2-3 weeks, but come to the music teacher first. The teacher gets an email first and then the postal result later. But of course Christmas would slow things down.

dd2's have been about 3 weeks with ABRSM too, expect it'll be a week or so longer due to Christmas :)

ABRSM have been getting quicker, DS2 had his exam on the 2nd December and his teacher had the result by e-mail on the 11th and the certificate by the 14th. Most people on Music Exams Support thread seemed to be getting them quickly.

We were probably lucky being earlier in December, but I should think it wouldn't be long. Will the teacher let you know straight away, or do you have to wait for the next lesson?

The certificate can take like 2 months to come thru ime.
