Royal Institution summer courses-anyone's child attended one?

Looking on the royal institutions website, I see they have a few 1 day courses on science related topics, many of which involve some hands on work. Has anyone any experience of these? DD is about to start science A levels, so I thought these might be good experience.

They sound fantastic! If we lived nearer to London then I'd definitely book my dc on some of the courses - if your dd is interested then I'd say go for it!
