Is there a set way to introduce a monologue?

I keep forgetting to ask ds2'd teacher.

He has to perform a monologue for an audition. I've suggested he introduces the name of the play it's from, the writer & his character's name. Does that sound okay?

Usually a panel will ask "What are you doing for us today?" or something similar...then the auditionee can say "I'm doing Hamlet scene blah de blah" or "I'l be doing Jane from X Play, scene 3."

If they do not then the auditionee should say "I'm going to do the last speech from scene 2 of X play." and leave it at that.
