Volunteer Brownie / Guides helpers needed (2 hours a week)

Do you like working with children? Would you like to help out at a Brownie, Guide or Rainbow Unit? Can you spare 2 hours on a weekday evening (during school term times)? Do you want some great volunteering experience to go on your CV? It's never too late to join in the fun - even if you weren't a Brownie or Guide!

We have 1 Rainbow Unit, 5 Brownie Units and 3 Guide Units in the Clapham and Clapham Park area, so there is plenty of choice. Rainbows are aged 5-7, Brownies are aged 7-10 and Guides are 10-14. Our units meet every week during term time to do crafts, play games, earn badges and go on trips. Some of our groups also go on holiday together!

You don't need any experience to volunteer, all we ask is that you are happy to come along and offer a helping hand, have a CRB check (paid for by Guiding) and turn up most weeks to get stuck in and help out in a formal or informal capacity! If you wish to take your commitment further, it is possible to work towards a leadership qualification. You can find out more about us by looking at our Region website (google search Girlguiding LASER).

Please get in touch if you are interested in finding out more - all skills and abilities welcome, so surprise yourself!

Hope you find some Leaders Clapham.
I'm a Snowy Owl, and know how difficult it is. Guiding is a fantastic organisation, and we have great fun with our Brownies.

If it appeals to you, but you don't live near clapham, please go to 'join us' on the girlguiding uk website and put in your details. There are units up and down the country who are desperate for help. (including a lovely guide unit near the trafford centre.....)

Bumping as a Beavers assistant leader (which is also loads of fun).
