DD(almost 5) has been asking constantly to learn the violin. My online searches have turned up lots of local teachers but none that take under 6s. Is anyone able to make a recommendation?

have you tried looking for Suzuki violin teachers in your areas? They are usually prepared to take dc 5 and younger. Find out a bit about the method first though because it is heavily reliant on parental involvement so you need to know if you that is something you want to do. From what I have heard they do not start straight away on a real instrument but tend to spend some time with a cardboard violin first but I have no first-hand experience of it.

Sounds intriguing! Is anyone able to shed any light on the Suzuki method? Will google it but would be nice to hear some first hand info.

Have you contacted the Sage? They may have details of teachers if you contact their education department.
