Found a piano teacher over the internet, what's next

I found a piano teacher over the internet, and had a trial lesson. DS is OK with the teacher.

As I don't live in the area, it is difficult to find anyone who would have first hand experience with the teacher.

Should I just commit and see how it goes?

Or should I look around for another teacher? If I look around, how to tell this teacher?

Any suggestions is appreciated.

Nothing particular dislike, it is only a 30-minute lesson.

As it is the first teacher we tried and it is without any recommendations from anyone we know. I guess I just feel a bit scary to commit at first attempt.

I think your ds is quite young, isn't he? There is no real rush. Why don't you take your time and find the teacher you are really comfortable with for him? You could tell this teacher that you thought the trial lesson went very well but you are undecided atm and can you get back to her in the new year?

Keep asking around for recommendations, if that is what you want to go on. Maybe try and find another teacher for a comparison at least.

What would you be committing to? At worst 4 weeks notice I imagine. So no reason to give the teacher a go and see how your child gets on.
