I've tried the local pages and google and came up with nothing so I'm asking very nicely :) if any mums in the Leeds area (pref the ls13 area) know of any clubs running either :
Street dance
Swimming
Tennis
Athletics
Please please please, any of these would be great for extra curricular for her.

4??

That's very young. What about going for a play in the park?

I would leave tennis, unless it's indoors, until the summer. At that age it's not active enough to keep warm in the winter.

If she's just starting school, again you might be better to wait as they get very tired at the beginning of school. However I would research now so they can get onto waiting lists.

Athletics, round here, the minimum age is 8yo.

Swimming ask any place with a pool.

Hi, not sure if this is too far away, but highly recommend swim-2-u based in Harrogate who do lessons at Leeds grammar school too. Four children max with instructor in pool. My son started with them at five and now is in town swim squad. They have good website with details. Also have you tried john Charles centre for council class? I would definitely try swim-2-u if not too far - they are outstandingly good teachers. Only athletics I know is in knaresborough so prob too far. Tennis - again only know Harrogate racquets club which is indoors - excellent though.

I don't think 4 is too young to get them active doing something they enjoy, and asked to do ( blame her stepdad watching Olympics) it teaches them routine, disapline and a healthy active lifestyle. I do take her often for a "play in the park" as u suggested
So I'd just like to say thank you for ur advice/suggestions/responses.
She's enrolled in a swimming class on a trial basis, and in a waiting list for gymnastics....depending on how the swimming pans out! So thank you again for ur advice :)
