My eldest DD got a distinction in her Gd 1 violin (with 130 marks, so only just, but PHEW...) I am so relieved, and pleased for her. Felt incredibly sick and nervous when she was doing the exam - whereas she just loved the whole experience. And while I don't want to brag, I AM JUST SO VERY VERY VERY VERY PROUD OF HER!!!!!!!!!! :o

Oh well done your DD :)

And you too. It is hard supporting them but it does get easier.

There is a thread for music exam support in this section - come and join in.

Not bragging at all. I am sure she worked hard and got though her nerves. Well done her! Celebration meal tonight?

Well done :).

Well done to her!

And a tip for the future, from recent bitter experience -- if you have more than one DC, if possible schedule their exams for different terms so you don't have a nonchalant exam-loving one winding up a super-stressy panicking sibling in the waiting room and ALL the way home.

Ah Lancelottie - that is my fate next week. Laid back DS has his exam on Tuesday and stressed out DD on Wednesday.

Well done mini pansy!

Brilliant!!!! You must be proud!!

IndigoBell · 03/02/2012 15:24

Well done!

Can I ask how long she'd been learning the violin for? And in private or group lesons?

maggiethecat · 04/02/2012 20:12

Very well done!! You can finally breathe (until the next one Smile)
