Hi I am starting a language club in my kids' school with a friend, which will be a mix of party games and activities around a spanish language theme. But have suddenly become frightened at the responsibility trust which is being put in me, despite the CRB check and public liability insurance, and the fact there seems to be no guidance on whether we can serve food, no pro forma letter re allergies, what "appropriate behaviour" is (i think it's no cuddling right?), no obligatory first aid training, even my local children and family advisory service admit this is a "grey area". suggestions to keep me sane??

I think you're taking it a bit too seriously.
If you must, write up all your concerns & talk them thru with school staff.
They will have policies & experience up the gazoo.

Allergies: just ask the children, they should know, and if that doesn't seem good enough then send home a letter asking parents to confirm.

Good luck, I'd love to run a Spanish club, if I had childcare/time/energy.
