Martial Arts for 5.5 yr old DS

I think my DS would benefit from the discipline and outlet for his physical energy that a martial art could bring. I'm just not sure which one. He tried judo last week which he enjoyed but I'd like him to try something else before we decide and wondered what might be best?

my Ds1 did tai kwon do for 3 years. It was excellent for teaching discilpline and I think you could see the difference. The patterns they learn are attributed to helping brain growth. He only stopped as it clashed with football. My BIL teaches it and the key is to get a good class which is well run.

TBH, I'd look much more closely at the club ethos/atmosphere than the details of which partic martial art.

DD attends a judo club which is fun. The kids love it and the instructors have a great sense of humour dealing with the kids (they are also hot on decorum and respect). May not be top for Judo technique, but I didn't really want her to dedicate her life to it, anyway. Some clubs are too serious and some are too disorganised (or both!).
