How do I go about finding the right music teacher for my child?

It seems I may not be the best at finding the right music teacher...

I'm wondering how I should go about trying to find a new violin teacher, what should I be looking for? I live overseas so I cannot refer to a list of teachers registered with a particular music board or anything like that.

Dd has had two teachers, the first was very experienced and qualified but I think although dd progressed quite fast (in terms of what she could play), fun factor was close to zero and dd had posture problems which took a while to eradicate when I changed teachers. The new teacher did effectively help dd to do that and the pressure is off but it is all (to my mind) less focused and organised than I am comfortable with. Also not hugely interesting/fun lessons but without the stress of 6 new pieces a week, not so pressurised as the first year of lessons.

Help
Where do I go from here? Ideally I am looking at 2 x week (30-45 minutes)

well, I'm a bit more relaxed about it today, just in a better mode so not quite so desperately frantic as when I first posted.

Always seem to be women we end up with tbh but a gorgeous young male might have been nice - just for achange..
