Do you think satin ballet shoes are easier to dance in than leather ones?

Not sure it makes much odds tbh - exam uniform for ours is satin.

No, dd has danced in both and prefers satin purely because they look prettier.

Leather ar far more hard wearing. With satin ones you pretty much have to go out and buy a new pair for every show/exam as they don't clean up well and come in holes.

DD wears leather for class and exams now and even wore them when doing a childrens dance in a professional touring company production.
