Anyone else watched 'State of Chaos' on the BBC?

I have only watched the first programme and already my blood pressure is being tested.

They didn't have a fucking plan. THEYE DIDN'T HAVE A FUCKING PLAN!!

Dorries, Rees-Mogg and Baker are exactly as expected. Doubling down on their ideology and blaming others for not getting Brexit done.

Genuinely interesting to hear from the civil servants though.

Any thoughts on this series?

Still watching..?!! All these absolute numpties sitting there and basically saying, 'I'm an actual idiot'.
Some really amazing sentiments from some people where they admit that awful things were done, in self serving ways, but somehow it's all ok? Unbelievable.

What I can't believe and genuinely- genuinely!- want to know is-
Who will vote conservative ever again? Even if you agreed with anything they stand for (I'll admit I don't!), how do you rationalism that they are openly saying they are doing whatever they do to support their friends/ damage their enemies? Madness!

Yep, still watching, open mouthed

We weren't supposed to be stupid enough to vote for Brexit in big enough numbers to actually win, just big enough numbers to boost Boris Johnson's career.

Watched it with husband.
Saw Matt Hancock and was like, why do we hate him again? Which scandal was he? Ah, yes.

Absolutely dreadful, the lot of them. Fascinating to hear all the mandarins speaking, though.

mynamechangemyrules · 25/09/2023 21:39

Yes @Dabralor I need a little Cons family tree to remember which awful person did which awful deed.

I have watched them all now.

Completely and utterly agog with the incompetence of all the MPs.

Truss / Kwateng using the economy as an ALevel theory economics project 😡

It was so interesting hearing from the city guy and all the senior civil servants - I have a new-found respect for them. Particularly when they have to deal with the calibre of MPs from the conservatives over the last decade - it must be soul destroying.

Genuine question - could any of them go to prison for any of the shit they've caused?
