Is the tearing up of part (or all of) the Northern Ireland Protocol got something to do with the Conservative party trying to get the DUP back into the Power Sharing Arrangement or is there something else at work here?

One of the KEY things about the NIP is that you just don't dick around with Northern Ireland! It's far too fragile to muck around with it.

So what is the story???

The only thing I can think of is the Tory’s genuinely want to break up the United Kingdom. It’s the only logical answer I can come up with

This....and cause a war (yes, let's call a spade a spade here. "The Troubles" was a Civil War) on the island of Ireland.

It's also going to show how the UK feel about international law...so don't be shocked if the EU start playing hardball on this.

Think Martyn Turner in the Irish Times has summed it up well. Johnson and the Toris don’t give a shit about the people of NI, unionist or otherwise.

I love the way that Turner has portrayed BJ as a clown with the red nose and oversized shoes. He really is a clown. A dangerous one at that but a clown nonetheless.
