I am keen to know as it such a big part of our economy.
I keep hearing rumours/scaremongering the last being the EU
wants to pull out financial services in London as we are a 3rd country.
I thought we had done Brexit , all oven ready

Services weren't part of the deal.

Many of these FS companies set up subsidiary companies in the EU from 2017 to 2019 (Dublin, Luxembourg, Paris) to continue selling financial service across the EU.

Nothing is happening as it is not part of the deal. Subsidiaries were set up and I expect jobs will slowly move out of the UK where working across the border isn't practical.

I should also say, please understand that this is an absolutely bare bones deal that removes tariffs for goods and very little else as many businesses are finding out to their cost. There is absolutely no special treatment of the UK and whole sectors of our economy have not been considered.

We'll probably struggle along with this while this current government is in power and then start negotiating a range of agreements to move us more towards the Swiss model. Slowly integrating more so that the rabid brexiteers don't kick off like frogs in a heated pot of water.

I read on a facebook page which then went and disappeared in the manner of facebook pages, that not only will financial services shift to EU countries but could also shift to Chicago and New York. It might have been quoting an FT article.
