What should I buy for the freezer

Yes this is technically a brexit thread! Seeing as we seem to heading for no deal, we might have tariffs for a while on certain items - so far I’ve read things like beef and my fav cheeses which I’ll be getting this wknd. Anyone else doing a freezer shop before the end of the year? What are you getting?

Am not a prepper or big stockpiler (my freezer is not big at all) really but if costs do go up for a while I’ll be annoyed I didn’t get some bits in beforehand! I love food Grin so would appreciate a good food thread, partly as an escape from all the noise of it all

Look on the preppers board, or the return of the tin opener one on here. Lots of discussions and ideas.

Ah will do! Sorry I didn’t know there was a special board for that stuff.

Their are some quite useful and entertaining threads which will keep you amused for a bit I should think Smile

I went for fruit, veg, dairy (butter mostly) and some treats. I have some batch cooking too in case covid gets us before brexit does.

Fruit, veg, soups & stews mainly.

I get local milk and eggs from the milk man - do we think there’s likely to be a problem with dairy? Other than wanting to avoid the supermarket...

I'd hope that milk production won't be affected (apart from price rises). Let's assume ConfusedHmmno petrol supply problems which would obviously affect everything.
But I have a couple of tubs of Nido dried milk powder just in case.

I have heard rumours about petrol supply problems @bellinisurge but I'm not sure why (except that upheaval generally causes more upheaval)
Are you any the wiser?
