Is it only the Democrats who will be against a GB-US Trade deal
or would it also be The Republicans as well?
Bearing in mind there is a US Presidential election in November?

It has to get through both the Senate and the House of Representatives. The HoR is run by the Democrats (which is why Pelosi is Speaker and, interesting side note, 3rd in line to be President).

And there is no election for the HoR for a couple of years so it will be as it is now in November .
And no Democrat run HoR would let a trade deal pass with a country that just pissed over the Good Friday Agreement.
Hard, but not impossible, to imagine the Republicans agreeing to it either.
if Trump loses but doesn't go quietly or there is some shenanigans to stop a result that is not resolved by January 2021, Pelosi becomes president.
Checks and balances, my friend, checks and balances.

The Irish lobby in USA is very strong & has strong links with both parties. Anything that unsettles Northern Ireland is very hot X-party politics in USA.

The HoR runs every 2 yrs, though, pp was wrong to imply they aren't all up for re-election; they spend most of their time running for re-election.

In the USA the GFA is known as the Mitchell Agreement.
They "own" it.
They will not take kindly to somebody who renounced US citizenship breaking it.

there are 50 Million folks who claim Irish descent in the USA
