Just been watching this video and really don't understand the issues being raised here by these people. Firstly, I don't really get how some people think that Brexit will do anything to solve their issues.

I also don't know how anyone who is destitute thinks voting in a Tory govenment again, led by the likes of Boris Johnson is going to do anything to help them!

Can anyone explain why they think this! In my eyes it's almost 10 years of Conservative rule that has caused the poverty we are now seeing!

The difference here would be that they were promised a better future outside of the EU... if that doesn't happen........ then what?

The benefits now available are nothing like that in the 1980s.

anyhow, its no more "tosh" than your assertion that the world would implode if we hadn't done brexit.... since when have people rioted because of broken election promises????

They pitch the poor against the poor with whataboutery. And it works.

I live in a town which has a vast, rich poor divide. 40% of the children born here are born into poverty. We have actual, slum housing. The sort you see on documentaries from the 50s. Families are still living in there. Yes, they've been vamped up due to investment but they're in no way a suitable home for families or anything to aspire to. Yet vast estates of houses worth upwards of 300k topping off at 600k are springing up on every available piece of land because the one, specialised sector in the town is booming.

Problem is the ones not cut out for that work are screwed. There's nothing. We have a huge drug problem because generations of youths who aren't cut out for it have no hope or direction.

We now have a Tory MP for the 1st time since the 80s. They honestly think Brexit is going to solve all this for the lost people in my town when the reality is it's going to be made worse.

And where I live is also 97 % white British.......yet all our problems are due to immigration. The 3%% are mainly business owners. Or employed at the hospital and in care homes.

I can't say I blame them. They have fuck all, their lives are shit. No future and no hope. They want someone to blame and this.whole Brexit debacle gave them a sense of importance. The highest number in generations got out and voted solely they'd have someone else to blame for.the shit their wallowing in.
