Like all the other party leaders? He said something over the weekend implying he was happy to be, but has this been scheduled?

Agree that Swinson did well. So did Nicola Sturgeon. Both of them remained calm under pressure, unlike tetchy old Corbyn. Johnson really needs to take his big girl's blouse off and face AN next. Come on Boris, who's the chlorinated chicken now?

noblegiraffe · 05/12/2019 00:02

No way will he do it. Not after Neil embarrassed him last time with the Paragraph 5C question.

Johnson is too lazy to do his homework and knows Neil isn’t.

fedup21 · 05/12/2019 09:01

And people will still vote Tory no matter whether Neil interviews BJ and BJ cocks it all up or is too ‘chicken’ to even bother. Note the papers aren’t posting picture of BJ dressed in a chicken outfit!

The Daily Mirror have a guy in a chicken outfit following Johnson around.

fedup21 · 05/12/2019 09:08

Ah, that’s ok then!

The Daily Mirror have a guy in a chicken outfit following Johnson around. Grin

It is a bad look but obviously his minders wont let him because he'll fuck it up, and those deluded enough to believe that Johnson is a hilarious type who'll stick it up to the dreaded Europeans and it will be milk and honey for all true Brits will still fall for it.

MrsMaiselsMuff · 05/12/2019 13:43

Swinson looked like she was going to cry in her interview. I almost felt sorry for her.

Last I saw Andrew Neil said negotiations weren't even happening.

But it's alright that Johnson is a lying toad, because "Brexit".

ArseDarkly · 05/12/2019 14:35

And because Corbyn apparently. No matter how bent Johnson is it's better than Corbyn because... err..

Pp on another thread claiming to be labour voters going with Tory so that Labour will have to choose a new 'centrist' leader ffs

UltimateFoole · 05/12/2019 15:30

No.
No Johnson will not be interviewed by Andrew Neil.
He was never going to be. And they definitely won't risk it next week with days to go before polling day.

So - no.

MockersFactCheckMN · 05/12/2019 19:19

Tomorrow night's big BBC Leaders' Debate has been moved from Southampton at barely 24 hours notice and relocated to another location yet to be announced, for 'technical reasons.'

I think we can translate that.

sunglasses123 · 05/12/2019 19:25

Watching Farage now with Andrew Neil and he is doing ok

sunglasses123 · 05/12/2019 19:26

Boris won’t do an interview with Andrew Neil - not this close to the election.

MrsMaiselsMuff · 05/12/2019 19:31

Andrew Neil currently completely slating Johnson for not be interviewed. In all the years he has been doing these interviews, every leader has taken part, until now. Johnson is the first. Questions of trust, why has he lied so many times?

If you couldn't be bothered to tune into the Farage interview (no one can blame you for that!), do watch it when it's on iplayer, and go straight to the last five minutes. It was brutal.

MrsMaiselsMuff · 05/12/2019 19:33

Also Johnson has refused to do the Julie Etchingham interview on ITV.

Election by silence.

Bearbehind · 05/12/2019 19:41

BJ is an odious twat but it’s a mark of how bad things are that he’ll still win because the alternative is even worse.

Those supporting Labour have no one to blame but themselves for what’s coming.

If you’d demanded more from the opposition then there might have been an alternative.

ArseDarkly · 05/12/2019 20:30

BJ is an odious twat but it’s a mark of how bad things are that he’ll still win because the alternative is even worse.

There's nothing worse than a Johnson Government - there's never been anything worse than a Johnson Government in living memory, and I lived through the Thatcher years. He is literally the worst thing that could happen to our country, the worst thing anyone could possibly vote for.

But you're still going to vote Tory. So you will only have yourself to blame for what follows if he gets in.

Bearbehind · 05/12/2019 20:35

No arse, I really won’t blame Johnson.

I’ll blame Corbyn’s Labour for its unicorn and rainbow manifesto, it’s communist ideals, the lack of clarity on Brexit and general shiteness

Johnson will get his way entirely because no one made any sensible attempt to stop him.

ArseDarkly · 05/12/2019 20:47

I didn't say you would blame Johnson, I said you would have yourself to blame. And Johnson will get his way if people vote for him, simple as that.

Doesn't matter how many hundreds of times you repeat your mantra about Labour failing to stop him (and it must run into the hundreds by now) it's still won't be true. But carry on anyway, it's sort of amazing to see such one-note stamina

Bearbehind · 05/12/2019 20:48

I won’t blame myself - I had no other viable choice.

PerkingFaintly · 05/12/2019 21:00

I won’t blame myself - I had no other viable choice.

Fixed that for you.

Johnson isn't a viable choice. If you don't want Corbyn either, you don't have a viable choice.

Johnson has already shown us what he thinks of parliamentary democracy. And the law. And lying daily.

If you vote for him, you already know this is what you're voting for. These aren't some minor, temporary issues around which the country can keep running; they're fundamental to our democracy.

ListeningQuietly · 05/12/2019 21:01

Where in Southampton was this debate meant to be taking place ?
All of the main venues have other bookings happening ....
I suspect it was all hot air and spin

Bearbehind · 05/12/2019 21:05

So what do you propose I do perking? Not vote?

Johnson is the least worst option IMO

And he’s fucking shite

That’s how bad it is

Those of you who disagree with him need to understand that, in lieu of an alternative, he’s going to win

tobee · 05/12/2019 21:06

I'm not a member of the Labour Party, so I don't blame myself for Corbyn being leader. 🤷🏻‍♀️

tobee · 05/12/2019 21:08

Not voting is a perfectly respectable thing to do,

Bearbehind · 05/12/2019 21:08

But you’re still going to support him and his party? 🤔
