I did but have now used most of it. Should I restock?

If you can afford to and have the space, it makes sense to always have a small stash of emergency food supplies

  • bad weather
  • power cuts
  • noro stopping you getting out
Brexit just focussed more people's minds onto being self reliant

and depending on the election result, the risk of hard brexit has not gone away

Brexit is just another thing for me. Bad weather. Illness. Money trouble. Those are my reasons. You can do what suits you. Which includes not having a stash if you don't want one.
A basic three day stash won't break the bank if built up slowly and carefully. It's generally a good idea to have that. You probably do already you just don't call it that.

Yes we have one but mainly
In case of power cuts/weather - fairly rural so makes sense.

beguilingeyes · 26/11/2019 16:24

I've started taking mine to the local food bank.

Keep it ticking over. If Johnson gets his withdrawal agreement through we will have a short transition period followed by a high likelihood of a no deal Brexit.

BlackeyedSusan · 27/11/2019 12:16

Yes. If Johnson wins we could be out by the first of January. Worth having a bit in.

I have been stuck in with sick children every other day here. One managed three separate illnesses/ asthma. The other has started now. My turn next.

bellinisurge · 28/11/2019 06:24

Hope you avoid health problems yourself @BlackeyedSusan . Lord knows you could do with being cut some slack after all that poorly ness

Thanks . Ex got away with just nausea yesterday. Hoping the sore tummy here will not develop.

I missed the worst. DD was away and sil did the clearing up.

Ds was very neat. Forewarned is forearmed with washing up bowl strategically placed. ( Not the washing up bowl)
