Not a thread for telling people how to vote and I'm praying for someone to come along who has actual experience working as an electoral officer.

In the mean time. Read this: www.electoralcommission.org.uk/sites/default/files/pdf_file/UKPE-Part-D-Absent-voting.pdf Wink

Safer than a postal proxy perhaps is contacting your local party branch to nominate a proxy on your behalf.

Interesting snippet of information: the 15-year rule for expats only applies to elections, not referendums. The Brexit vote could have been extended to the 3 million Brits in Europe had Cameron decided to do so. Bastard Tories Angry

I've no idea how it goes down in other countries, but we are unusual in having no ID Cards.

FWIW in France you have a special "carte électorale" that gets stamped, you show ID and you have to sign the electoral roll for that election.

With thanks to HesterThrale on another thread, I found what I wanted here:

www.network.vote/

I have put a poster up at work. Hope it makes a difference.
