Am in a cafe listening to two women having a conversation about brexit. Views are:

  • It's the EU's fault that our schools are underfunded, because we put too much money into the EU
  • The economy will "balance out" after we leave because the EU needs us as much as we need them
  • All immigrants will still be welcome here because voting leave wasn't about that

Do people really think that the reason our schools are underfunded is the EU Confused?!

I think it's possible, as we spent millions on the EU for years, propping up other Countries. However, we dont know that if we weren't in the EU, whether the Government would have still underfunded schools.

We pay about 8 or 9 billion a year net to the EU.

The Education budget is over 100 billion, Health is 120 billion and rising.

Normanpriceeh - I might hear the odd snippet in conversation, but usually too busy chatting to the person I'm with to pay attention to what other people are doing or talking about.

Bellingsurge - It would depend what they were talking about and if they were being offensive.

Why have you changed your username OP?

"It would depend what they were talking about and if they were being offensive."
That's the point, stuff you don't find offensive about Brexit, I might. And vice versa
