No deal is not blocked by law.

No deal is what happens automatically on 31st Oct.

The recent bill that has been described as "blocking no deal" just requires the PM to seek an extension so that we don't leave on Oct 31st. He's said he won't, despite the law, and even if he does ask, then the EU don't have to give him this extension. And even if they do give an extension, there's nothing to stop a crash out at the end of the extension.

Until we have passed this current deadline of 31 October and avoided No Deal, it matters.
