My DH works in south. I'm really worried what will happen now! I feel like we are again being held hostage at the whim of the English!
They really don't care do they? What is going to happen here?

I grew up as a catholic in a mixed marriage house and was politically neutral. Brexit has made me a nationalist.

I grew up as a protestand in a staunch unionist house and brexit has made me a nationalist.

OK well thats not entirely true. I rejected the politics of my family at a pretty early age and always felt culturally closer to Ireland than Britain, but I suppose until Brexit I was content with the status quo.

Now I want a united Ireland. Ireland has been treated appallingly by Britain for hundreds of years, it is time that those wrongs are put right. If we are going to suffer due to Brexit, we might as well suffer for something that matters, rather than suffering because the British upperclass saw a way to line their pockets at our expense. Again.

The DUP have been very quiet the last few days. Saw Ian Paisley talking today but he wasn't saying much of anything other than defending the Tories.
