Following on from KJC's thread, I thought I'd create another space for these lively discussions as the last one seemed to be quite popular.

3 years of trying to please everyone has proved that it is never possible to please everyone.

It might just make Leavers own the shitshow which is likely to happen with Johnson's Cabinet of incompetents. At present, it's 'Theresa May was a Remainer.' This won't entirely be applicable to Johnson, except that it was well known that he wrote two articles for the Telegraph, one Leave and one Remain.

It might just make Leavers own the shitshow

Whatever the outcome, good or bad, it affects everyone.

mummmy2017 · 28/07/2019 11:19

Just seen SKY tried to pin JC down on labour view point.
He would answer one way or the other.
But a labour back bencher has said it is this.
If Tory in power have a policy of leave...Labour will campaign for Remain....
If Labour won an election they hope to leave it so late we leave, so they can blame the other side....

bellinisurge · 28/07/2019 11:54

JC is a useless twat. Do you expect Remain voters to come on here saying different?

mummmy2017 · 28/07/2019 11:58

bellinisurge no, I am just so shocked at when he should on your behalf be going for the jugular there is nothing...
If you could inhabit his body at question time there would be fireworks...

bellinisurge · 28/07/2019 12:32

He's shit. Something we agree on , at last.

ListeningQuietly · 28/07/2019 13:52

JC wants Brexit lots and lots
his 'brain' Seamus Milne wants to leave NATO as well

mummmy2017 · 28/07/2019 18:01

Sorry I just can't get over labour sitting on their hands saying nothing like naught school children...Why?

ListeningQuietly · 28/07/2019 18:12

mummmy
The £3 members took over the party.

JC and momentum have stitched up the governance of the party
and the bullying that is going on internally is nearly up to Tory levels Grin
Moderates are decried as "Blairites"
They are deemed the greater enemy than the Tories (yup, really)
and Corbyn who has ALWAYS been a Lexiter gets fence marks in his bum.

Corbyn has to be a Tory mole - its the only sane explanation.

Read up a bit on Seamus Milne ....

I'm personally expecting BJ to engineer a situation where the EU refuse to grant us an extension.

jasjas1973 · 28/07/2019 18:48

BJ would be toast if he ever asked for that one!

jasjas1973 · 28/07/2019 18:52

From EU viewpoint there only one of three things that can happen on 31 October 2019

There is a 4th and a 5th....

Extension for GE and extension for a second vote.

GE most likely if HoC blocks leaving without a deal.

MeganBacon · 28/07/2019 19:09

He won't ask for it, he'll engineer it. So it looks like it wasn't his fault.

Bearbehind · 28/07/2019 19:17

So it looks like it wasn't his fault.

Whatever happens, one thing you can guarantee that BJ will do everything he can to ensure it’s not seen to be his fault.

He’s setting it up to be ‘delivering the will of the people’ so when it goes tits up it’s their fault not his.

Tullow2016 · 29/07/2019 02:59

Extension for GE and extension for a second vote

Both EU and UK have to agree these options.

GE most likely if HoC blocks leaving without a deal

Internal votes by HoC do not oblige EU to extend. Current default position is UK leaves EU on 31 Oct 2019, deal or not.

Not much time left to squeeze in a GE before 31 Oct 2019. Second referendum has been voted down by MPs.

All very odd

mummmy2017 · 29/07/2019 09:04

You see I think you have this all wrong.
Boris will take us out of the EU and his name will be the one that goes down in history.
Wrong or right, it will be Boris.

everythingisginandroses · 30/07/2019 23:24

I believe his name is Alexander, but whatever.
