If we do get no deal, the arguments won’t stop - they’ll only
only intensify....Practically we’ll have to “deal” at some point, but Farage and his brigade will continue to cry “foul” at any hint of an accommodation with Brussels.

The Government will have the tiniest of majorities to do anything, and they won’t get any thanks from the “No-deal” Brexiteer voters for the utter mess when the inevitable attrition on their seats leads to a GE, with many doubling down and following Farage at the ballot box into a wormhole of madness.

Of course, it may well not get to this point...and the Government is voted down or stopped from its no-deal path....

I think at this point it's really hard to gauge how any of this will pan out. It doesnt matter if people follow Farage, because the Brexit Party is just a company set up by Aaron banks and co. They can't run for government, they don't even have a manifesto as they are just effectively a company.

I have no idea what will happen come 31st October although its said that BoJo will suspend parliament till afterwards to ensure 'No Deal' slips through.

In that case, the way I see it, if they won, they'd probably be in for a term tops. They will cause unforetold damage and will cited out at the next one. They are a one-trick pony with only a couple of policies. I don't think they have enough policies on broaders issues to actually win a GE. They don't care about social care, the welfare state, education, the health service or tackling climate change. They're basically a rebranded UKIP.

I think they’re fucked either way, they’ve backed themselves into a corner. If they go for No Deal - fucked. If they get a deal, it will never make everyone happy as Brexit meant different things to people - fucked. If they revoke - fucked.
I think the only thing stopping Labour getting in is the awful Corbyn and cronies, along with Bromentum.

I think a No Deal will finish them if it's as bad as some predictions say it will be!

I am an ardent Remainer but almost at the point of 'bring it on' let's get it over with and finish the Tory party for the next 50 years!

If there is No Deal I don't think it will last that long as damaging to both EU and UK.

No-deal will last for years, UK will become a 3rd country and will be forced to trade with the EU on WTO terms.

The mini deals often talked about will be on things like flights and driver permits, perhaps healthcare too.

But on tariffs and FTA - no, its just to complex an area, especially as the whole point of brexit is to enable the UK to have its own trade policy, the EU will then need to protect its own SM.... then there is NI.

Businesses not investing or leaving the UK become an economic benefit to the EU, cities like Dublin and Amsterdam have already benefited, its entirely possible that over the next 10 years we could see a real downsizing of the 'city in favour of Europe.

So, the sliver cloud of brexit could be the destruction of the Con party, though if it is replaced by the BXP or a similar far right outfit, that might not be so great :(

No-Deal epically fucks over Ireland and the GFA so (if it comes to that), the USA Congress will not consider a deal with us until it's fixed. No chlorinated chicken and the total destruction of the Brexit Party and the Tories?

On the bright side, I was writing an article about a consultation yesterday about implementing a piece of EU legislation: the government is saying they have to implement it as we will be in the transition period. So someone, somewhere, still expects us to leave with the transition deal...

If there's a vonc in the government, how will that stop a crash out Brexit? Even if we have no government at all the law says we leave on 31st October and time marches on?

@KennDodd, I don't claim to be an expert, but if the current government falls as a result of a VONC, the Queen can ask the opposition to try and form an executive that has the confidence of the house. If they fail within 14 days, we prepare for a general election. The EU has already indicated that they will extend in order to allow a GE or people's vote (or something else to resolve the deadlock!). Given the urgency of the issue, I can't see the PM's job staying empty for long.

The day they all disappear up their selfish, self-serving, pompous arses will be a celebration for me.
