Brexit

It's just dawned on me that we've elected 28 MEPs who don't want to be in the EU, to go to the EU

How is that going to play out?

Will they refuse to take their seats?

MEPs are not supposed to represent any national point of view. They stand in transnational party groups as members of the Party of European Socialists, the European People's Party, The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats, etc.

{MEPs are not supposed to represent any national point of view.}

Agreed, but they bring their knowledge of procedures and situations from their home countries to the discussion in the EP. So Farage SHOULD have brought up the fact that in the UK a fisherman was allocated a certain quota of fish, and that is tied to his boat ownership. Sell the boat and the quota goes with the boat. Other EU fishermen just catch and their amount is totalled for their country.

Rather than take the train to Brussels, Farage prefers to drive* and claim all the associated mileage and other allowances.

I wonder how Widdecombe will react when she realises she's got into bed with a bunch of grifters & nutters. Anyway, in interview today she said that the BxP won't disrupt core EU business that is nothing to do with UK.

I wonder what reality will be.

I thought that was what they ALL do? I think the idea is to make sure things stay fare as much as they can in such a corrupt place. Also to show the UK MP's that what we want is Brexit and not all this messing around!

It seems you need to learn how the EU works as a democratic system and while you are at it, perhaps check your spelling.

I would be prepared to give Widdicombe the benefit of the doubt and say that she will try to discharge her duties as MEP. I cannot for the life of me see Farage doing so, a leopard does not change its spots.

How long will it be before Widdicombe and Farage fall out, and Widdicombe joins the Tory group?
