Whether be leave or remain , what made you choose the option you did.

I looked at remain parties, then choose based on who I thought would get a seat locally and had policies I generally agreed wuth

bellinisurge · 23/05/2019 18:43

Do you mean the referendum or today's election?

Referendum: what would fuck the UK least and save GFA. I voted Remain.
Today's election: only way to show I want to avoid No Deal is to vote for a pro-Remain party. I voted Lib Dem.

I live in a strong Leave supporting area. Yaxley Lennon happy hunting ground.

CrunchyCarrot · 23/05/2019 19:00

You mean back in 2016? I voted Leave, mainly on Sovereignty 'take back control' and getting more control over immigration. Also better funding for the NHS. However I soon realised things weren't as simple as they'd been made out and I was wrong to vote that way. So today in the EU elections I voted Lib Dem as it's a Remain party. Ideally I'd like the UK to Revoke article 50.

frumpety · 23/05/2019 19:23

Today I voted Lib Dem because I don't believe leaving the EU is a good idea. I voted Remain in the EU referendum because I didn't believe leaving the EU was a good idea. The sensible option is still Remain Smile

frumpety · 23/05/2019 19:27

I have voted Conservative, Lib Dem, Green and Labour in a myriad of past elections, I do my homework and support people I believe will do the job they are standing for well. Smile

Yaralie · 23/05/2019 19:28

I voted LibDem for both positive and negative reasons.

UK being in the EU has given us so many benefits that our children and grandchildren should also be able to enjoy.

Any kind of brexit would damage our economy, our security, our standing in the world and blight the future of our children and grandchildren.

FriedEggsAndMushrooms · 23/05/2019 19:33

I voted green today.

chilledteacher · 23/05/2019 20:07

www.remainvoter.com/

I used this website and voted green. First time I've ever done so.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 23/05/2019 20:13

Green, could not bring myself to vote Lib Dem.

HateIsNotGood · 23/05/2019 20:24

Brexit Party - because I think the HoC have thrown their toys out of the pram and that the electorate, like their parents, need to let them know that bad behaviour has consequences.

Usually I vote Green in elections.

FredaFox · 23/05/2019 20:26

Remain and lib dem

Mistigri · 23/05/2019 20:27

My mum - who voted leave in 2016 - voted Green.

Only party to send her literature (!) and she likes their lead candidate in the SW.

Needless to say I think she made a good choice.

Littletabbyocelot · 23/05/2019 20:30

I was unsure in the run up to the referendum but voted remain because I couldn't see a way to leave without huge impact on the economy and it seemed obvious that with the government we had further economic hardship would be used to justify more austerity.

I voted for a remain party today

TheresWaldo · 23/05/2019 20:32

I voted LibDem and dh Green.

Peregrina · 23/05/2019 20:32

I don't think the HoC have thrown any toys out of the pram - the votes back in February-March were a sign of most of them trying to thrash out the issues, and do what they thought was right for the country.

Daisychainsandglitter · 23/05/2019 21:03

I'm a remainer and voted for a pro remain party. The Lib Dem's

Coppersulphate · 23/05/2019 22:26

I voted for the Brexit Party and Leave in the referendum.

VioletCharlotte · 23/05/2019 22:33

Change UK. Tactical vote based on the website posted by pp.

HagridsBigToe · 24/05/2019 05:40

I voted remain because I didn't understand the finer details of economics or politics and didn't feel I was qualified to vote for a massive change like leave without full knowledge of the effects.
Also, I like our government having oversight instead of just being able to do whatever the fuck it wants.

HagridsBigToe · 24/05/2019 05:41

Oh, and yesterday I voted Lib Dem, but Brexit party is set to do very well in my region.

eurochick · 24/05/2019 06:01

In the referendum I voted Remain as I believed that will be that would be the best thing for the U.K. to do. Yesterday I voted Change U.K., to try to achieve an additional Remain MEP in this region, because I still believe remaining would be the best thing for the U.K.

NoYo · 24/05/2019 06:53

I voted Leave in 2016 and the Brexit Party yesterday. Results should be interesting!

OfDragonsDeep · 24/05/2019 06:55

Leave & Brexit

jasjas1973 · 24/05/2019 06:56

Green - Brexit made no difference, i'd have voted for them regardless.

The main parties will never get my vote again.

Its a v. real tragedy that the country is irrevocably divided, esp between the young and old, it doesn't bode well for the future.

Iggly · 24/05/2019 06:59

Green.

Brexit is a disaster and the one party gunning for it have zero plans so why would anyone vote them 🤦🏻‍♀️
